It's has a good remarking History. It comes under the reign of Satavahanas who ruled from the Dharanikota, Now it is the new Cpital of Andhrapradesh we call it as Amarawathi.

Demographic:Chiluvuru had a population of 7,952.in that 3,948 males and 4,004 females and sex ratio of 1014 females per 1000 males, and the literacy rate stands at 70.42% Chiluvuru gram panchayat is the local self-Government of the village.It comes under Duggirala mandal, Mangalagiri assembly constituency for Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It falls under Guntur Lok Sabha constituency.
